Senior Citizen Sidekicks

Senior Citizen Sidekicks is an intergenerational social inclusion initiative led by high school student leaders. The program creates structured opportunities for youth to engage with seniors through events, shared activities, and one-on-one connections.

Students receive leadership training and guidance on positive communication with older adults, while seniors gain meaningful social interaction and cross-generational friendships. Activities may include game days, storytelling sessions, technology help, holiday events, and community service projects. The program strengthens intergenerational understanding, reduces social isolation among seniors, builds empathy and leadership skills in youth, and fosters a stronger, more connected community.

Meals & Nutrition Program

Proper nutrition is foundational to senior health, yet many older adults face barriers, including fixed incomes, limited mobility, and lack of access to fresh food. The Meals & Nutrition Program ensures seniors receive consistent, nutritious meals that support their physical health and ability to live independently.

Participants receive balanced meals tailored to dietary needs, along with nutrition education that helps seniors make informed food choices. By improving access to healthy meals, the program reduces the risk of malnutrition, supports chronic disease management, strengthens immune health, and helps seniors maintain independence.

Safe & Affordable Housing

Housing stability is one of the most urgent challenges facing low-income seniors, many of whom live on fixed incomes that cannot keep pace with rising rental costs. Senior Uplift Foundation’s Safe & Affordable Housing Support program helps older adults secure and maintain stable housing through rental subsidies, housing navigation, and individualized case management.

Senior Uplift Foundation assists seniors in locating affordable housing options, completing applications, understanding lease agreements, and accessing emergency rental assistance when needed. Ongoing support reduces housing insecurity and homelessness among seniors, promotes long-term stability, and alleviates the stress and health risks associated with housing instability.

Caregiver & Companion Support

Many seniors live alone or lack consistent family support, placing them at higher risk for isolation, depression, and unmet daily needs. Senior Uplift Foundation’s Caregiver & Companion Support program connects seniors with trained caregivers and volunteers who provide companionship, light assistance with daily living tasks, and emotional support.

Services may include friendly visits, help with errands, medication reminders, and support with routine activities. Beyond practical help, the program fosters meaningful human connection and improved

emotional well-being.

Community Engagement & Lifelong Learning

Social engagement and mental stimulation are key contributors to healthy aging. Senior Uplift Foundation offers a variety of workshops, social gatherings, fitness classes, educational opportunities, and volunteer roles that keep seniors active and connected.

Programs are designed to nurture creativity, encourage movement, and build peer relationships. From art workshops and wellness activities, seniors are empowered to continue learning and contributing to

their communities.
